The multi-talented Jacqueline Caruso, who plays Maggie in Hope for a Thorn, has recently released her first album, with her band Thurlow! The album is called Training Wheels and you can purchase it now at CDBaby and soon on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and more.  Check out Thurlow on MySpace.

In November, Marco (Thorn’s DP) and I met up with Sarah Grace and Pat in Deland, at the exterior location of Victoria’s House (as the interior location was in Thornton Park, in Orland0). We shot several rolls of film, looking for some great stills and poster images.

I’ve included a few below.

We are thrilled to announce the very talented actors that will be playing our lead roles.

As young Sophie Thorne, Sarah Grace Ackerman:

Fairly new to acting, Sarah Grace is a very talented young actress. She is thrilled to be playing the role of Sophie. She’s appeared in film, commercials, video, and and TV, and also enjoys tennis, snorkeling, four wheel trail riding, and target shooting.

Pat Fisher will be playing the role of Victoria Thorne, Sophie’s estranged grandmother.

Pat began her acting career on stage in San Francisco and made her way into film acting in 1990 when The Asolo Film Conservatory accepted its first class. When the Conservatory’s filmmakers sought actors from the Sarasota community, Pat became one of the regulars, performing the female lead in “The Customer” which won an Academy Award (Student Division) nomination. She also had a featured role in “Curdled.” She has done many commercials, industrial films and publicity campaigns for television and print. She returned to the stage last February in Tampa’s production of “The Vagina Monologues”, which was a delightful experience, but not as good as making movies.

We are tremendously excited to have these two talented and delightful actresses as our leads. We look forward to watching them bring our characters to life.
